Materials: conductivity meter external image DEC-1.jpg&usg=AFQjCNG2vmRD52JDweiiOsLrxsLORwEZIA

Directions:
1. At the site, stick the conductivity meter in the water at different spots
2. Keep the meter in the water for about 3 minutes
3. Press the mode button so the reading freezes in th conductivity meter
4. Record the reading
5. Repeat 5-7 times
Significance: Conductivity is a physical measurement that indicates the presence of chemical ions in the water. If there is a high conductivity it could mean that there is metal in the water, and if there is metal in the water it could mean the water is polluted.
